**SWAYAM* *Local Chapter* - *Inauguration Ceremony**

VPM's K. G. Joshi College of Arts and N. G. Bedekar College of Commerce, Autonomous, Thane has become Local Chapter for Swayam online Courses. It's virtual inauguration took place on Zoom platform on Saturday 17th July 2021 at the hands of Dr.Vijay Bedekar, Chairman of Vidya Prasarak Mandal. Dr. Suchitra Naik,Principal, Joshi Bedekar College emphasised that Swayam is new mode of self learning. Its full form is Study Webs of Active Learning for young and aspiring minds. Students should take maximum advantage of the same. Dr.Vijay Bedekar in his blessings said that it is good initiative by Government of India and maximum students should take advantage of this opportunity.At present around 170 students have enrolled for 10 selected courses. Dr. Sagar Thakkar will be SPOC(Single Point of Contact) of Swayam courses .
